STATION TO STATION

I think this album sounds amazing - while Bowie says it's his least 'sincere' record (aren't they all?), it's got the most emotional signing he's ever done, especially "Word on a Wing" and "Wild is the Wind." Maybe his finest vocal moments.

Can anyone familiar with it speculate how they did that flanging ricochet sound in the title track? When he sings "The return of the thin white duke..." It's a cool sound. I know they were all coked out of their skulls and probably don't remember.
