I will say my CD version sounds very thin compared to the vinyl. Still have it from my youth.

I wore out two copies of the vinyl...never had the CD, but I recently bought it from iTunes. It brings a smile to my face.

I actually just saw an interview with Eddie kramer and he indeed did say most everything was replaced except for the drums and Peters vocals. He said everyone was jumping aorund to much. Guitars out of tune etc.
It still works for me.
