YouTube Vids

Post by RodC » Tue Nov 25, 2008 8:21 pm

I posted these tracks a while back for some listing, I have been gettin into some Video editing, nothing real fancy. Thought you guys may want to check them out. View them in High Quality if you can, some of the material I had to work with wasnt the best, some was pretty nice.

I have 2 up so far, more to come if I dont pull my hair out:

This is my sons band, (most of you know.) My oldest plays guitar, youngest plays Bass and does the vox.

I thought the audio on Myspace sucked, YouTube is mono and really much worse.

I believe you're talking about Centralia, abandoned route 61? On google maps it's labelled as "Destroyed Route 61", which is pretty awesome, haha. I thought that was it in the video at first, but that road looks a bit bigger, and I'm pretty sure there is less space on the sides between the road and the trees. I could be wrong, maybe it's the right place just a different time of year than I've ever been there. I went three times last month, and I went a couple times last year as well. This time I was there filming the smoke and cracks for a music video. Last year I went as part of a photo book I was working on on abandoned places. If you go to http://www.flickr.com/photos/jessegimbe ... 565158579/ the end of the 5th row starts the few photos of Centralia. I have a weird connection to that place, I can't help but keep going back. Glad to be able to use it in a music video.

TMI huh.

Yep, but its not Centralia. We considered that location, but there really isnt much left there. Most of the buildings are gone.

I'm confused, I'm not seeing any buildings at all in your video either. Yeah Centralia's completely empty except for the main destroyed road (61), two cemeteries that aren't creep at all for being right next to smoking ground, a few streets without even the curbs left, just asphalt, and then the rocky smoking hills. Oh, and the houses of the 9 folk that still live there, but judging by the battle that's been going on, I don't know how much longer they'll be there either.

Posted one more a bit back, forgot to update this thread:

BTW, in-case the question about why put it in "Listen to my stuff", all of the audio was recorded by us as well.

(On a funny note, they get comments every day about the last 2 vids, wanting to know where we got the power :D )
