Listen to my mix if you like krautrock.

Howdy. We're (Fotosputnik) recording our first album ourselves and have finished all the tracking. I started mixing the other day. Anyone care to critique this version of our tune "Terns"?

I know there are some things I still need to get to, and I plan on doing some more overdubs in terms of beefing up some of the heavier guitar parts, but here it is anyway:

Sounds good man. I'm no great mixer, just another musician muddling through the recording processes. I liked what I heard and let it run through the whole thing, good stuff! Kind of Dungen-esque.

i'm really digging this. very cool vibe, and the drums are very Neu! i love the dynamic building and falling of the tune.

the bird loop at around 4:20 has a little click at the loop point that was a little distracting, but it doesn't really detract at all. the filtering and processing softens it. this whole section has a great ethereal feel.

nicely done!

this whole thing feels like it'd really be at home on a faust or neu! album. very cool.

cool. glad you enjoyed it.

and yeah, the bird samples were all played "live" on a Dr. Sample sampler, so it has some lil' pops here and there, but we liked the way it sounded.

Thanks again. Hopefully this album will be done soon.
