Jenny Lewis' Pretty Bird

Man... the rhythm electric guitar part on this song is gorgeous. Sounds like a Les Paul into a Twin to me. Anyone know anything about who played on this track?

A nicely recorded album all together, but that tone is great.

Turns out that the iTunes copy I bought came with a digital booklet and M. Ward is apparently the guitar player on that track. Someone around here has to know the guy... bug him about what he was playing there for me, will ya?

Matt's got great fingers and taste. I recorded a bunch of songs with him and Jenny for "Rabbit Fur Coat" and I don't recall any of the guitars or amps or remember worrying too much about it since he always sounded "right".

Absolutely- his playing is incredibly tasty- I'm sure the gear is nothing rare or exotic, but I'm still curious. :)

I'd email and ask him, but I know he's so busy with his record release right now that I'd hate to waste my "points" with him on stuff like that! Sorry. You can imagine how his schedule is these days...

Nah, absolutely- save your points. It's not that big of a deal anyway.
