yes it is. And it is the only new album I picked up this year.....so far.
I'm going to buy the new Gizzly Bear album, "Veckatimest", from which the 5 tracks I've heard so far are outstanding.

Agreed, fantastic record.
Having said that, the Japandroids album is some damn good loud guitar music.
