The Cure: Pornography, because I am reading Ian Rankin's The Hanging Garden. Re the record, it's been a while since I heard this, but I must admit the lack of cymbals is pretty refreshing, and I never before noticed how they come off like a Goth jam-band.

Lately bought this amazing record for 3 ?'s. Below is Baby Come On which sounds like a Curtis Mayfield kind of thing :D. There's no single bad song on the record.

Been listening to the internet radio. Specifically di.fm - Modern Jazz
It's on the "Radio" list in iTunes. I had totally forgotten about it and chanced upon it while looking for something to listen to with my son. It's a great set up for my upcoming tour. Lot's of Miles, Coltrane, Sun Ra, Archie Shepp, Dolphy. Totally gets my blood pumping.

Awesome, awesome stuff.

For some reason it's listed as "Free Jazz" on the opening page, "Modern Jazz" on its own page: thanx for the heads-up!

A fair amount of the Mick Turner / Tren Brothers 'Blue Trees' album this weekend. Maybe my favorite Albini-recorded record.
