I, for one, welcome our new Mexican drug cartel overlords.

Sinners. Now God will punish you guys by letting Colorado drop off into the ocean...

...which logistically doesn't sound geographically possible, God can still make happen.

Any chance this relates to the "Listen to My Stuff" category?

If you live in Breckenridge, you will now think everything you listen to sounds better.

That is one of my favorite ski mountains. When you are looking at the mountain, whichever peak is all the way to the left - awesom!

I was between Breckenridge and Frisco on my way back to Boulder after a gig at Eric's about ten years ago, driving the band truck by myself. There was packed snow on the roads and it was foggy, about 2 in the morning. I was driving pretty slow, not wanting to end up on the frozen lake to my right, when all of a sudden I saw dozens of shapes ahead in my headlights. The moon was full and everything had a blue cast. I realized it was a small herd of elk on the road. They were moving about as fast as sheep, which is to say, not very. I stopped about thirty feet away, and they ended up turning in my direction and passing me on all sides, utterly quietly and completely unconcerned. One of the most memorable wildlife encounters I've ever had.
Come to think of it, all my best critter stories are from Colorado. Coyotes, foxes, eagles, a wolf once at my campsite (though there aren't supposed to be any there.) I've been in Oregon for four years now and have nothing to compare to those times.

Great story!

Amazing story! Thanks so much for taking the time to write it down.

Eric's is still there... Eric himself is still here too. I couldn't imagine a better place to be... most days. We love it here and singing high notes is actually easier at altitude for some reason.
