I've been releasing things on Bandcamp for only a short time. The first album I put on Bandcamp was back in March of this year. I'm a big fan of Bandcamp; it offers a lot of really useful tools. I'm happy they've started allowing for selling physical packages and pre-orders, but I haven't gone that route with them yet. It'll be fun to try that out in the future.
I suppose this isn't exactly the point of the thread, but I'll say that I make experimental/sound art. I'm making it a point to incorporate more elements in future work, but yes. . .in general, I am a sound artist.

i'm a dark ambient/drone/noise musician in NC. i use bandcamp in addition to facebook and my own website. don't really use myspace anymore, like most folks. mostly like bandcamp but my beef with bandcamp is the lack of batch uploading and how long it takes to upload files one by one of that size. i can understand why they only accept .wav files, but damn. and they almost always fail for me so i can't even leave them overnight. we own a 101 year old house and internet here can be spotty.

There is no such thing as an empty space or an empty time. There is always something to see, something to hear. In fact, try as we may to make a silence, we cannot. -John Cage
Here's my band's newest tracks on bandcamp: i'm the bassist;

I play bass for this band and do all the recording. Mostly fast, short, aggressive songs in a hardcore punk vein (fastcore, powerviolence, whatever genre name the kids are using these days). Heavily influenced by bands like Infest, Discharge, old Napalm Death and that sort of thing.

Just a three song demo up there for download now. We're working on a 10 track release (including reworked versions of the demo songs), which will probably be available free to download as well.

Well, it took me a while to get around to creating a Bandcamp page for The Weisstronauts. Wish I had done it a long time ago; I really like the features, sound quality, ease of use, etc.
We're going to release an EP (Weisstronauts in Memphis 2) and full length (19 Something 9) very soon. Here are two new songs (sort of "sneak previews")... one from each upcoming release.
Hot Box was recorded by Jeff Powell at Ardent in Memphis, and mixed by me at Verdant in Vermont. Hoopin' was recorded by me at Verdant and mixed by Mitch Easter at the Fidelitorium. Hope you dig...

Whoops, just noticed this thread after I started a new one. Sorry for the cut and paste...
I just moved back home after a long stint away and decided to start a fake band with a couple of old friends. It's just electric drums and Sansamped guitars and bass into my laptop but it was fun!

edit: old post deleted!

I play bass and recorded / mixed. Strictly demo caliber but I'm pretty happy with 'em.

I actually just finished a new album of sorts called Rainbow Schubert, but I don't have any artwork (nor have I made any for my previous albums), so I'm kind of slacking in that department. Anyways, the album is more like an EP cause a lot of the songs are short. The first half is more keyboard-based songs and the second half a generally more guitar oriented. Some of the songs are kind of old too (some recorded in 2010 and one in 2009). If you only have time to listen to one or two songs, I think "Worn Out Man" and "Sour Love" are probably the best.

Stuff I did with my old band - although posted under my own name because the band is no more. My 4 song E.P. Got the Liver Transplant Coolers on the Subway is mastered and everything.

I've been making music, mostly instrumentals and ringtones and throwing them on the bandcamp page. Feel free to grab the ringtone album, it's free and comes with apple ringtone files when you d/l the whole album
