List your Bandcamp page

i feel that Bandcamp is a superior way to host your music. I'm wondering who here on the TOMB is using this service instead of or in addition to Myspace, Facebook, etc.

Some of the folks who I have been working with are really happy with Bandcamp. Links to their pages are in my signature.

Open Jam at drawingroom

Post by Aj » Wed Dec 02, 2009 1:53 pm

I host a semi-regular "open jam" at my studio.

We mike up all the instruments, invite a bunch of musicians over (often former/current/future clients), and everyone plays for 5+ hours, pure improv. Usually goes until 3-4 in the morning. Only rule is nothing can be prepared. It's a great way to meet talented people and mix it up.

Anyway, I record the whole thing and post it via BandCamp. Find it here - there's lots of pictures too.

i signed up for a bandcamp account a month ago but haven't posted any music yet. i want to sell stuff there but haven't had time to sort out the paypal stuff.

i have a standard premier account which i have used for buying and selling gear but they recommend using the micropayments so the transaction fees are smaller on these tiny purchases (ie: per download) - if i do that then the transaction fees are good for the per download deal - but bad (ie higher) for the buying/selling gear.

what do you guys do? 2 accounts? any tips?

Awesome thread.

More music will appear there soon.

Also, I have a totally new project that will get its own page once we have some finished songs.
