Hey guys,
I'm running into some difficulty mixing this one particular song, so I figured I'd ask you all for some input. Please take a listen, and let me know what your initial impressions are. I haven't checked it on a different monitoring environment, so it may be a little bassy, I don't know.

I've muted the vocals, as I really want to hone in on the instrumentation right now.
Thanks a lot!

Overall, this sounds really good. You should be proud.
I'm just another douchebag guitarist, but the guitars' tone sound fine to me. I'd be happy with them. If anything, bring the acoustics up a little and lower the electrics. Right now the mix seems like mostly electric guitar and the snare. Bring up the other stuff. It seems like you're trying to get dynamic cues from the volume levels of the guitars. The clean/distorted + drums will do that.
The thing that bothered me more than that was the tone of the snare drum. It sounds too compressed, and it lost all of its character. They just don't sound like real drums. Maybe back off all the drum processing and let it be a little more natural.
Not much bass over here in my untreated room on some Tapco S-8s. In fact, I can barely hear it. Push those electric guitars and snare down, and bring up the other stuff!

Thanks so much for your feedback! I made a few changes, and this is what I came up with:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/dgmnftqwn ... titled.mp3
1) Re-amped the snare to give it a more natural sound. The snare isn't really being compressed much, it's just that it was recorded with a lot of attack. You can still hear this in some parts, but I think blending in the re-amped signal helped a lot.
2) Ran the DI bass track through a tubescreamer, then through a cab, and miked that up. Now the bass sounds more like a bass (I think).
3) Re-amped guitars, miked them up with three mics, and blended that in with the virtual guitars. I think the tone is pretty unique now, and it doesn't sound completely virtual.
