Back in March I heard "Rill Rill" on Sirius and was pretty knocked out by it. I went home and found out the album wasn't out yet. So I went to their Myspace page and took another listen and it was un-listenable. As in distorted as fuck. I found it on youtube and same deal. I even found a preview snippet and it sounded the same. I heard a couple other songs on Sirius and it was hard to tell if they were crushed, too.

Long story short, I broke down and bought "Rill Rill" off iTunes last week (I'm a sucker for a clever Funkadelic sample). It doesn't sound as bad as I remember. I wonder if there were some serious mastering revisions. Or if they crushed it to discourage people from ripping it from myspace/youtube.

"Distorted As Fuck" is what makes it so great. I especially like Riot Rhythm.

I bought their album on iTunes.

DISTORTION GOODNESS!!!

It reminds me in a good way of when I started out with a tape machine and would regularly overload the inputs.

YAY!!!

P.S. I still cannot find a way to buy the Zuzuka Poderosa songs, except through MySpace (yuck...)

Cheers

sounds like you guys are talking about the excellent Times New Viking.

If apple hadn't shut down lala.com I would head there right now and check out this Sleigh Bells.
