The Promise: The Making of Darkness on the Edge of Town, on

Just watched this, and it's the Tape Op-inest film I've seen since, well, the 4-hour Tom Petty movie. Tons of studio footage, demos, track selection, getting drum sounds, mixing, slagging on 70s studio sounds, and, obviously, pretty great songs.

I am not a huge Bruce fan, but I enjoyed this a lot, and I'm looking forward to the album reissue (of which this is a part).

Damn, I saw this in TV guide, it was on late over the weekend. I wanted to stay up and watch it, but it was late even by my weekend standards. I'll keep my eyes out for it. Thanks for the heads-up.

It's really good. Miami Steve has speech patterns very similar to Shake from the Aqua Teens.
