Beatles on iTunes - first American concert!

Post by Jon Nolan » Wed Nov 17, 2010 1:49 pm

hey y'all. i didn't see another post about this yet here. apologies if i missed one and this redundant.

but i didnt want you to miss this!

on iTunes they have the beatles entire first american concert for free viewing! it's truly a marvel, especially given how young they are, and the sound reinforcement limitations they had to deal with. the harmonies are so good! and they're tuning by ear. crrrrazy.

so good.

faves so far:
"saw her standing there" and "this boy"

All the Jelly Beans! Good god, I've never seen that before. Fantastic.

Altec 633's. So that's what I need to sound like a Beatle. Got it.

Some nice parallel-octave work from George, but boy do I wish John's guitar solo was louder!

Fantastic.
I love when they hand Ringo the mic and he sticks the stand between his legs and plays around it.
Really great.
