Fantastic stuff man!

I have been thinking about putting a mobile recording rig together as an extension to the live sound thing I have going. What system are you using?

Thank you.

It's a Macbook pro running Tracktion w/ a Motu 828mkII. I use the Focusrite 428 as the main pre and use it's converter to get in via lightpipe. I also have two API 512s and a pair of Portico pres -- so 8 altogether. Very tide setup.

The jazz thing was done w/ an AKG 426 about 8 feet out in front and a couple of spot mics.

Radio Free Song Club

Post by jrsgodfrey » Fri Jun 24, 2011 7:29 pm

This isn't up on the Bandcamp page, but I was privileged to have a track in the most recent Radio Free Song Club podcast.

http://radiofreesongclub.com/archives/2107

Featuring new music from Peter Holsapple, Kate Jacobs, Peter Blegvad, Dave Schramm and Jody Harris with special guests Jennie Lowe Stearns, Stephen McCarthy, Steve Wynn, JP Houston and myself. The house band is great, The Radio Free All Stars: Dave Schramm (electric guitar), David Mansfield (dobro, mandolin, violin), Doug Wieselman (clarinet and bass clarinet, electric guitar, vocals), Andy Burton (piano), Paul Moschella (drums) and Al Greller (bass).

My track recorded at Able Mobile HQ with Cheri Leone and Deigo Voglino.

Cheers.

Jay Sherman-Godfrey Music at Able Mobile Recording Lab

Post by jrsgodfrey » Mon Feb 13, 2012 9:22 am

Not technically new, but I'm moving my own material over to the studio site. This is a collection of the "virtual 45s" I recorded and released in 2010, repackaged as an LP.

Thanks for listening!

More Carey Burtt, fresh from the Able Mobiel Recording Lab

Post by jrsgodfrey » Wed May 23, 2012 12:45 pm

A tune from Carey Burtt's new long-player AK-43.

Overdubbed lots of analog goodness onto Carey's home demos, which he then mercilessly mangled.
