How's this for a dry '70s country rock mix.

It's not a period piece, I was shooting for something halfway between "Wildflowers"-era Tom Petty, and any number of '70s bands. With snottier vocals, of course.

Don't take this the wrong way, but it's a little like an inebriated Captain Beefheart jamming with The Band... They're playing "Cripple Creek," and he's, well, he's, he's aaaaaaa......

Hi maggot,

Other than the REALLY bright melody guitar which is destroying my laptop speakers, it sounds good.

Like the vocalist's take on this song.
Howling at the neighbors. Hoping they have more mic cables.

Thanks for the input guys. The guitar and singing are me. I get complaints about too-bright guitars all the time. My first love was screeching 60s treble. But if it's reaching speaker-destroying levels I can put a lid on it.

As long as it doesn't sound like an inebriated Captain Beefheart jamming with the Shaggs, I'm doing OK.

I don't know if I could even put a price tag on what I'd pay to hear that!
