11/11/11 global song project, contributions wanted

Post by pulse_divider » Wed Nov 09, 2011 9:47 am

Not sure where the appropriate forum for this is, but my friend is working on a global song project for 11/11/11 and they are looking for musical contributions of any style from all over the world. Last year's (10/10/10) was cool but he's really wanting more "fringe element" representation so I thought this might be a good board to post it on.
Here's the info:

"hey everyone, this 11.11.11, we are attempting to create some globally
created music all on the same day.

we have the following countries represented in this project thus far:
Philippines, United States, Germany, Canada, Australia, Poland,
Romania, India, Russia, China, Iraq, Indonesia, Mexico, France,
Slovenia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Pakistan, Jordan, Spain, Norway,
Switzerland, Argentina, UK

We have flutes, horns, strings, electronics, drums and percussion. We
have tap dancing, turntableism, opera singing. We have an artist who
captures the sounds of plants via sensors and Supercollider. We have
drone and noise artists. We have rock bands, hiphop artists, chiptune
artists and orchestra players. We have professionals and hobbyists.

Spread the word if you can. We need more people, more countries, more
players, more instruments! We could use some modular synth wizards and
anything else anyone would like to do.
