recorded a song in a small airplane over Austin, TX
So my band Royal Forest has done some field recordings and videos over the last few years - in a desert, in a submarine, but the latest was in a 1970s Piper Cherokee Arrow about 5,000 feet over Austin, TX.
Went up 2 by 2, took 4 flights in total recording to a Zoom H4n handheld thingy. The vocal mic in the video came out of a WWII gas mask - we just rewired it to XLR. Took the tracks back and mixed down at the studio.
