My band has just released an album that is unlistenable, didnt really know where to put this information.
Kind of a comment on illegal downloading, kind of an article on a band being stupid.
You guys can decide.

Double Edit: I deleted my own post because it sounded rude. I'll just say I don't get the point myself.

It's a punk band so I'm not too worried about sounding rude.

It's a bit like the K-foundation burn a million quid. Except with something no one gives a toss about and 30 years too late.

Though I bet you a pint someone digitizes the vinyl with a laser turntable and figures out an algorithm for removing the crackle. And then uploads pirate copies of it.

(No, really. I think it's quite a fun publicity stunt. It's just the article writer makes the band seem extremely unlikeable.)

what would have been really meta was if you wrote your entire post and then deleted it without ever pressing Submit!!!!

Greil Marcus should replace the text in Lipstick Traces with the sentence "Blood Duster f'ing rules!@" repeated for the entire 1700 pages.

No, he should hand-write that in a blank diary, then burn it before anybody can read it.

What I would love to see now is a t-shirt that we can buy that has the LP (scratched or not, I think I'd be impressed either way) as a playable vinyl decal on the front.

You can steal my idea, but you'll have to buy my CD...

LOL, awesome response!

Now, you need to destroy all evidence (or, these two posts), so nobody ever knows... But then you can tell them, only if you also tell them, "You'll never really be able to know."

Hmm... this doesn't belong in the "listen to my stuff" forum. We need a "you can't listen to my stuff" forum for things like this.
