Unapologetic 80s Metal

Post by jhcore » Sat Aug 25, 2018 3:28 pm

My band got together in a warehouse to cobble together a handful of songs. In the past we'd rush and say "good enough", and "fix things in post"; this time, we took our time to treat the recording environment, without the rest of the impatient band hanging around doing nothing.

In any event, this Metal slab arose from those sessions. However, my assistant lost one of the overhead mic tracks (drums recorded in a Glyn Johns-type manner), and this track sounds quite a bit different from the rest of that session. But I had the AA CM47 in front of the kit for reinforcement and glue, and that definitely helped out.
