Hey all - I'm very pleased with how the video turned out for the title track of my forthcoming Manbird album. Another no-budget flick, this one making Sacramento look better than I ever remember! Plus, a Prophet 5 played by a pigeon! Hope you enjoy!

P.S. - total geek trivia, but this version was mastered by Eric Broyhill who used to have his studio in Sacramento in the room next to John Botch's Tape Op publishing office. Home town represent!

Sound like real bass but the article and vid don't credit that?

Glad you're digging it. It's Prophet 6 (with a touch of Prophet 5 at the end) for the bass. It was intended for proper, electric bass, but by the time I'd sorted it on synth, it stuck!

Just got back from taking moms to the doc, wartched the second one.
Very Kurt Weil/beer hall - that was fun!

That's from an album out last year, but it got tagged onto the premier for the new one. Fine by me! Whereas "Manbird" just sounds like me sounding like me, "Berliner Grotesk" is definitely me letting globs of Berliner vibe sink in after living there for years. Had to be done!
