Interview with Joe Gore

The actual tItle of the linked interview given by interviewer does it a great disservice as the topics mentioned take up but 1/800th of the 2 hours involved.

In any case, fantastic wide ranging inspiring interview with Joe Gore..

"He’s licensed his music to well-known movies and television shows and has recorded and/or toured with Tom Waits, PJ Harvey, Tracy Chapman, Marianne Faithfull, the Eels, Courtney Love, John Cale,  DJ Shadow, Aimee Mann, Julieta Venegas, Oranj Symphonette, Jerry Harrison, Action Plus, Meat Beat Manifesto, Carrie Underwood, Tchad Blake, Flood, Tipsy, Kimya Dawson, Jill Sobule, Jane Weidlin and Belinda Carlisle, Flea, Les Claypool, O.A.R., and many other artists…"

I recall seeing him on PJ Harvey vids.

He was editor of Guitar Player, too, I think.

That's right. He's had his fingers in a lot of pies. He has a line of effects pedals as well.
I was listening to this Mancini tribute album yet again and started researching the bands that contributed. Gore was in Orang Symphonette.

I like his gear reviews, and various hacks/mods he does with guitars and other equipment.

has links to his other blogs/projects/social media.

For some reason, maybe his appearance, I read everything he writes, in Dave Attell's voice.
