This is more of an interest check to see if anyone would like to own it. Want to sell it to finance part of a trip to Vancouver so I can get married. Offers?

Just so you know, this is a smart move if you have an understanding fiance. I sold a couple of pieces of gear that I had sort of bought as an investment last year and bought wedding rings with them. As a result, my wife is totally cool with me buying gear, especially if it's gear that might appreciate. She's a big Federal compressor fan.

I did a similar move. I sold a guitar to buy a wedding ring and my wife never sweats me about buying stuff. Use the guilt to your advantage!

Yep-- just a couple of months ago, I used profits from buying and selling a couple of Spectrasonics 610's to help pay for my and my fiancee's wedding rings. I really should have made mention of that fact to her at the time, but she generally doesn't give me grief about buying gear... something that I'm sure is about to change in a couple of weeks

I can see her now, standing in you new living room looking at your old couch calling out "Honey, do you have another Federal?"

This weekend I managed to get a Studer B67 on its rolling cart into my studio without my wife noticing. I did this by driving the car across the yard and backing up to the back door.

This morning she went in there to look at some turkeys out the back window and was like, "So. Tape deck, huh?"

Here's my favorite:

"Honey, I could unload this tomorrow for TWICE what I paid for it, easily!"

Then just hope and pray she doesn't force you to make good on that one.

I would get comments when I was justifying purchases claiming I didn't have a 'gear problem'. "Whatever Cleopatra, Queen of Denial".

Then my partner started playing the tenor banjo and he now has 4 tenor banjos and two tenor guitars.

No more comments. I just co-opted him into our disease.

I don't know whether my internet addiction or gear addiction is worse.
