This is now sold! Thanks Alex!
I'm selling my Sountracs Topaz 32:8 console and my Otari MX5050BQII 4 Track R2R. This is a package deal since they're both taking up space and need to go to a new home that will use them. I'm now on just a laptop/lunchbox setup. $350 for both.
Now, read on.......
The Topaz - This is a 32:8 with meter bridge, power supply, manual and a talkback mic all included. The power supply was rebuilt about 4 years ago by a local tech. He also did the +4 mod as well. It could use a couple of 1/4 jacks replaced, if memory serves me, a couple feel loose and one has an end missing. That didn't stop me from using this with an Alesis HD24 and getting some great results. Recently it has developed a "buzz" upon startup that has been going away when the unit sits powered up for a few minutes. Tech said it probably needs a new cap somewhere in the main output section, but I haven't done anything about it. So, assume that this will need gone through by you or a tech.
The Otari: The 5050 powers up, but hasn't been used in a few years so I would just assume it will need cleaning, maybe new rollers? etc. It comes with the hubs and the splicing block attached to the front of it. Powers up, has a burnt out VU bulb. Heads have been relapped by JRF but that was before I got it. Again, assume that this will need some maintenance.
I feel I've priced these accordingly. I'm not interested at all in shipping them since they both are large and heavy. I'm located in the Indianapolis, Indiana area and you would need to make arrangements to pick these up. Not really interested in trading for anything at this time.
Here are some links to pics of them:

PM me if you'd like to give them a good home. Thanks!

Re: Topaz 32:8 and Otari MX5050 - Cheap!
Hey man. For some reason I can't send a pm on my iPhone. I'm very interested. I'll be in touch soon.
