Vintage TUBE Compressor: Maxson Dept Of Commerce Circa 1957

Post by tubemonkey35 » Mon Jan 16, 2012 5:55 pm

I'm selling another vintage tube compressor / limiter from my collection. This Maxson Dept Of commerce (think Michael Brauer) was used during my time assisting Henry Hirsch at his Waterfront Studio. This compressor is a mean, nasty mother - crush it all to hell!!! I hate to let her go, but such is life. It's Plug & Play! Add serious mojo to your studio. Please enjoy the pictures at the link below. Asking $2,800 + shipping. -Adam

It's pretty much a bad ass comp / limiter. These don't come around too often. Think Aimee Mann's 'Lost in Space' record. You can hear how how Michael Brauer used his on Aimee's voice for a good portion of that record.
