FS/ T Scully 280B SF Bay Area 4 headstacks!

Post by zorf » Sat Jan 07, 2012 8:27 am

It has quarter inch 2 and 4 track heads. And half inch 2 and 4 track heads. All told there are 6 or 7 extra headstacks. Never used from the factory!
I think the only one that has been used is the quarter inch 2 track.
Also has a couple of extra unused extra motors and an extra reel table.
Also homemade wooden rack.
Also a bunch of MRL alignment tapes.
A pile of reels in different sizes.
All the cables needed to connect the preamps.
Even some "case candy" like plaques and a brochure.

Would make a killer half inch mixdown deck, or half inch four track is pretty cool. also.

Would prefer local pickup although i do have a truck.
Thinking $600 or offer
Trades? well, could use an ISA ONE or apogee duet or cool analog reverb unit.
i like old harmony and kay basses interesting mics, maganatone amp, vintage zildjians or whatever.

I may be interested in one of those spare pinch roller motors you have for the scully. Would you possibly ship if I paid via paypal?

I used to work on that machine back when I was in radio... Wish I had a spare $600 and could afford a trip to San Francisco!

If it doesn't sell, holler sometime: Gregg@MightyNoStars.com

I haven't personally seen the Scully but can vouch for the seller as a good guy. Buy this mojo-filled deck before it gets away!
