FS: Roberts 770x 2-track reel to reel

While you can certainly turn this into two project preamps, it happens to be in beautiful condition (unlike many Akai M7/M8s out there). I'm selling it as a working tape machine, as the sound quality is great for a late-60s tube model and it is undeniably awesome for guitar and vocal demos. Overloading tape never sounded so great. Comes with a barely-used 7" roll of RMG LPR-35 1/4" tape.

Like all 770xs, monitoring during record is input-only. So you can't use it as a tape delay.

$150, pickup in Oakland.

I would really, really, really, REALLY like this.

There's no way you'd consider shipping?

If you really want to pay for it, sure. Boxing/packing is easy, but FedEx Ground will be a pretty penny.

No scale handy, but it feels around 40lb. It measures 20.5"x13.5"x10.5".

I'd imagine the box would be around 26x20x16 and weigh 45lb, for rate calc purposes.
