SOLD 2 x Audio Technica 4050, 4047 for sale

Post by Jeff White » Wed Jan 08, 2014 12:43 pm

Hey buddies, Happy New Year!

I have decided to downsize my mic locker for the first time in over a decade in an attempt to raise some funds for a vintage Microtech Gefell UM70 of my own. I have been borrowing one for the past 8 years, and I still have access to it, but I think that my needs these days require me to have my own (and access to a pair when I need them).

(2) AT4050 w/shockmounts, cases, cloth covers. Both of these mics are mint and to be honest have not seen a ton of use. I bought them new in 2007 in order to have a pair of multipattern LDCs, but I've been relying on SDCs for overheads, and at times have been using only a single mono overhead. Save some cash on new ones. I am selling them for XXXXXXXXX Keeping for now.

SOLD!!! AT4047sv w/shockmount. Perfect functioning condition, as in mint, however there is a scratch on the AT logo on the front of the mic. The shockmount is in great shape but the original rubber band is a little stretched out and loose. This is a common problem with the AT shockmounts, however I just used this mic 3 times in the past 2 weeks and it held fine. I've owned this one since early 2003, and it was the nicest mic that I owned for quite some time. Killer for vocals, in front of a kit, mono overhead, kick drum, bass cab, etc. I hate to see this go. I may have the original AT case for it; definitely have the case's foam insert. Selling it for $400.

These mics will find themselves on eBay in the next several weeks. Hit me up with any questions via PM.

Hey, which model of shockmount with the 4050's? I'm thinking I want to get a mate for my 4050, which has the big round 8449 shockmount.

Every one of these mics has the 8449 shockmount. The two 4050 shockmounts are brand new, as I have barely even used these mics.

Grrmmmnnn. I'm going to have to pass - I took a hard look at how often I use my 4050, and what currently happens when I need a pair of something. It's a great price, though.

No worries!

I'm going to put a bunch of stuff, including these mics, on eBay today and tomorrow. I have a UM70 in mint condition for $1100 waiting for me to raise the funds.

If anyone wants these, hit me up. I'll post eBay links for everything that I am selling and start a new thread.

The 4047sv is spoken for.

The 4050s are still available. I've been pretty busy and still haven't placed a bunch of stuff up on ebay yet, but I will be soon. Hit me up if you are interested in the 4050s.

I've decided to keep my pair of AT4050s for now. Gonna make some decisions in the next few weeks; may put them back up for sale.
