SCSI (was:SCUZZY)

Post by thepsychedelicdollhouse » Tue Nov 30, 2021 12:30 pm

I'm using Pike Pinder's Mellotron CD-ROM. In order to use with the sampler I have I need/use a SCSI external drive.
As insurance, I'm looking for one as a backup. Does anyone have one they can spare? Or give me direction to someone who might?

What is the brand/model of the sampler you're using? I may have some ideas for you.

Also, not sure if it's possible to change a subject line after a thread has been started, but I actually overlooked this thread when it was first posted because you wrote "Scuzzy" instead of SCSI.

Hi Jack,
It's an Akai S3000XL. I haven't found a way to change the title of the thread. Immediately after posting it I had a similar thought to yours. Thanks for responding.

EDIT: I originally posted a reply after finding some info about the Akai S3200XL, which is a different model. Just realized my mistake.

Newegg might have some stuff:

Howling at the neighbors. Hoping they have more mic cables.

Searching for "external SCSI CD" on eBay today (12/13/21) brings up a number of options under $100, and a few under $80.
