WTB: Got $600 to spend on a used pair of LDCs

Post by greatmagnet » Tue Nov 08, 2005 10:39 am

Hey All,

I've got my eye on a NEW pair of SE2200s, but I try and buy used for better value and a happier planet when I can :) Nonetheless, I really do need to get a new pair of versatile LDC mics before a session I'm doing next Saturday. I have a pair of the first generation 2200s and they sound great for the price and very "un-Chinese", but they are dying because the build quality was so bad back then (5 years ago). They are my only LDC pair.

I had a line on a pair of AT4050s here at GearSlutz for $600 but it didn't work out. That would have ben perfect for my li'l studio as they are multipattern and I don't own much. $600 is about my budget though.

Anyone got a line on anything interesting and maybe a bit sluttier? I have to move kinda fast.

Cheers,
Adam
