FS: 2 Langevin AM17GC + parts

Post by drunton » Thu Nov 10, 2005 1:32 pm

I am selling 2 Langevin AM17GC preamplifier modules. I purchased these and got most of the stuff to rack them but just don't have the time these days. These are the GC modules which have the gain control on the front - sweet!

I bought the AM16/AM17 connectors from Connector World Supply and wired one with DC pigtails, XLR-F and XLR-M to test the modules. The other is brand new in the bag.

One AM17GC is perfect and works just fine on the bench.

The other has had the output transformer "disconnected". It has been cut free. The person I bought these from said he removed it because someone suggested it. I used my signal generator and scope and it looks like the windings are all good, but it will need some surgery to put it back together.

What is included:
2 Langevin AM17GC's.
Full schematic and connection diagrams
2 MRE18SG connectors for the AM16/17 (bought brand new)
Lambda LJS-10-24-0V - 24V switching power supply
Lambda LVS-45-48-B - 48V switching power supply (for phantom)
10ft Belden 9451 cable
5 LM317 voltage regulators
5 2N3055 - these are the output transistors for the AM17
2 DPDT switches for phantom
1 SPDT switch for power
1 IEC panel mount connector
2 XLR-female panel mount
2 XLR-male panel mount
2 Neutrik combo connectors
Caps - all 63V electrolytic (4 33uF, 2 330uF, 2 220uF, 2 470uF) - extra bypassing and for phantom
Resistors (2 39k, 2 200ohm, 6 6.81k 1%) - LED bias and phantom
5 LED panel mount holders and 3 red LED's
2 self designed PCB's that hold the combo connectors and implement the Jensen recommended phantom switching circuitry (AS016 at jensentransformers.com)

The AM16/17 modules seem to go for about $250. I paid $30 for the two connectors. Since one of the modules can not be tested and is sold as-is, I will essentially give it away. I am asking $300 plus shipping for everything above. A rack and a little time and you will have a nice pair of mic pre's.

Can accept paypal bank transfer or money order.
