FS: Valley People Leveller, Hafler Preamp, Mesa Boogie Amp

Post by drunton » Sun Jan 08, 2006 10:44 pm

I have a few things for sale:

1. Pair of Valley People Leveller modules - $150
These will fit in any valley people rack, although the text is written for sideways installation, I had the pair in my 10 channel vertical rack. These are a lot like the Aphex Compellor modules. The controls are simple: threshold, gain, and integration time (slow or fast). Nice simple transparent limiter - hard to tell its working until you shut it off. Signal path is a couple opamps for buffering and the VCA is done by a Valley Transamp module. Includes the manual with schematic.

2. Hafler / Digitech T3 preamp - ebay
http://cm.ebay.com/cm/ck/1065-29296-235 ... 307&lk=URL
Three channel preamp with 2 Tubes - high voltage even. Clean, Crunch, and Lead. I like this a lot, just upgraded to a Marshall JMP1 for the MIDI recall functions. The footswitch is made from the guts of a Fender amp footswitch. Includes copy of manual and schematic for footswitch. You will need a standard TRS cable between the preamp and footswitch. Check the reviews on harmony central - the distorted tones are great.

3. Mesa Boogie Subway Rocket - SOLD
http://cm.ebay.com/cm/ck/1065-29296-235 ... 727&lk=URL
Very nice all tube amp. Loudest 20W you ever heard - people talk about plugging this into a nice 4x12 cab and it sounds great - I agree. Just re-tubed with less than 10 hours on the new tubes - Electro Harmonix on the preamp stages, the 2 EL84's are also straight from Mesa. This amp has no reverb, but it is very simple and sounds very nice. Clean channel and Rhythm channel with Lead Contour - includes footswitch. Includes copy of manual and schematics. You can hear a sample clip at http://www.authenticaudio.com/demo/SubwayRocket.mp3 (Telecaster recorded with U89 plugged into Yamaha i88x preamp/interface)

Just a feedback thing here:

Dave's a good guy to deal with. Straight up, great communication, good packaging. No worries...

and Dave, those Langevins you sold me sound AMAZING! I got that one output transformer reattached and ran some signal through both modules over the Holidays and was floored. Clean, quiet, lotsa gain even on the low output tap. Should have 'em in a rack case in the next few weeks...
I thought this club was for musicians. Who let the drummer in here??
