Hey there everyone:
I've got 2 DBX 165's that I want to use in stereo mode (slaved) but I've lost the control cable that links them together. I'd like to buy another one or get the pin-out's so I can make one. Any help would be much appriciated.

I don't know if the 165 uses the same connector as the 165a, but if so it's a 12 pin cinch jones connector. And they are NOT wired one for one. For the 165a, the pins are swapped in pairs, as in connnector 1 pin 1 to connector 2 pin 2 and connector 1 pin 2 to connector 2 pin 1. Hope that is clear enough. This pattern repeats through connector 10. Just to make things confusing, though, Pins 11 and 12 are wired 11 to 11 and 12 to 12, if I remember correctly. I know, as I made one about 2 weeks ago with the manual right in front of me.
Btw, call dbx and ask them for a copy of the manual. They e-mailed me the 165a user and service manuals immediately (which included a very clear diagram of the linking cable).
No offense, but It always amazes me that people never actually contact the companies that make the stuff when they need information about products.

You can find a .pdf of the dbx 165a manual here:

Lot's of other manuals as well.
