FS: Vintage~! Gefell UM70 Large Diaphragm Condenser

This microphone is the East German version of the U87. It contains the MV691 solid state mic amp and the UM capsule which is essentially the same as the legendary M7 (well known from the U47 M49 and CMV3). So it sounds closer to the U47 than the U87. It also has the pick-up patterns: cardioid omni and figure 8. On the mic body you can also install the following Neumann Gefell capsules: M58 M69 M70 M71 M73 M93 M94 The mic is in excellent working order and sounds great. Comes with black case. Has standard male XLR. Microphone says "RFT VEB MIKROFONTECHNIK GEFELL," meaning it was manufactured sometime between 1972 and the fall of the German Democratic Republic. the serial # on the head is #4454. The mic amp has a serial #0588. I should note that this is the original transformer UM70, not the transformerless UMT70 remake from 1995 and later. Looking to get $895 for it.
