For Trade: A pair of SDC mics

Post by lanxe » Fri Feb 02, 2007 4:09 pm

i made 5 of mics.....as seen and heard in the posts below. they are very similar in design to the ALICE mic seen here: http://scotthelmke.com/alice-construction.html. his site is gread and was my inspiration for this build. i appreciate his efforts and making his knowledge available to us. if you are looking to make something for the studio, this is a pretty cool project.

i planned on keeping a pair or so for me and giving a pair to a friend (he was to pay cost) but he ended up backing out because of employment issues. so two are up for grabs. I AM NOT MAKING ANY MORE, this was a one time deal to add to my mic collection and help a friend add to his. he fell on hard times and now i am stuck with more of the same mics that i really dont need.

i would like to trade the pair for some other mics that may be useful to me. stuff i look for are MD421, AT40XX, RE20, Cascade ribbon mics, shinybox ribbon........i am not picky let me know what you have (this is just a dream list). we can work out a trade, or a trade plus i give you cash, or a trade plus something else.....anything. it doesnt have to be mics either......just hit me up with stuff you have for the studio (headphone amps, headphones, cables, legit software, whatever!)

by the way, these mics sound great! i am really happy with the results. i have been using them quite a bit.

please email me or pm me with questions, concerns, comments, trades. bocookdot7 (AT) yahoo.com

Thanks kojdogg-

here is a pair as overheads on the drums panned hard left and hard right. there is also an oktava mk319 on the kick and a sm57 on the snare

this is just an acoustic guitar......just the raw file. the mics were in xy stereo at the bottom of the neck of the guitar. panned hard left and right.

oh, just a note on the recorded acoustic guitar. i recorded that right next to the computer, so you are going to hear the loud ass fan too. i have to do something about that!

also, i am interested in many trades, not just mics. let me know what you are willing to part with!

thanks,
Ryan
