I have a nice condition Altec 1589 preamp. This is the same front end as the 1591 preamp/compressor, just minus the compressor. Good condition and comes with a single mic transformer. This has two inputs that can be mixed to a single output. This is great for a bass DI and cab mic'ng combo. These sound great on snare, kick, vocals and guitars. And pretty much anything else you throw at it.

Excepting trades right now, but if you want to make a cash offer, I am listening!

I am looking for (and can add money if needed), or throw in other studio gear.(usa made 160x, at4050...)

Not sure what the real going price of these are. I am thinking around $200 or so. There are a few on ebay for $300, but have not sold. There were also a few non-working ones that sold for $125 or so.

Lets start at $200 and see if there is any interest. This is an all discrete transformer base preamp. Not bad for $200. Much better than anything new on the market for this price range.
