Hey guys,

With the holidays approaching I'm sure there's someone here who wouldn't mind getting rid of their old 424. Buying one for my friend who is just getting into recording. What's standard these days? 100-150? Tell me what you're thinking. Thanks!!

PS: Also would consider other cassette makes/models, it just has to have individual outs (preferably 1/4" TRS) for each track so he can dump them into my computer rig without alignment headaches. I'm leaning towards a 424 because there's a bunch out there and tons of resources on the old interwebs for him to use if need be.

Not trying to be snarky, but around here (sf bay area) there are always two or three 424's on craigslist every week or so. What's c-list like in Lake Wobegon?

I check every day, nothing so far. Good suggestion though. Tons on ebay any day of the week, but I trust tape-oppers more and would much rather give them some extra dough.
