Eisen mic pre for API 500 series rack or lunchbox

Post by digitaldrummer » Sat May 31, 2008 2:11 pm

Eisen mic pre module (from www.eisenaudio.com) that fits the API 500 series racks and lunchboxes. Purple Op Amp, JLM 1:4 input transformer and Cinemag CMOQ-2S output transformer. I bought it pre-assembled. The choices for opamp and xfmrs was supposed to get close to the "Neve" sound (although I cannot compare since I have no actual Neve pres). It does sound good, I just ran out of room in my lunchbox and chose to keep "pairs" -- only had one of these...

$400 shipped (mainland). Paypal is fine. PM if interested.

This sounds like the pair I have, and I wouldn't mind having another. What options does it have? What faceplate/paint/knob? Pic?

That is a sweet deal! Unfortunately, I didn't get the coin I expected this week, so I have to pass. Someone needs to jump on this though! I found it to be a great pre paired with a 4047 (vox), 414B/ULS (el gtr, vox), and TAB-Funk 57 (el gtr). Jens is a flippin' genious! Best of luck! And keep putting out those PM1k channels - I'll get one or two, one of these days.
