C'mon. Tell me what you've got.

Bonus points for an old Ampex.

!

I'm in Chicago, but I definitely don't mind a road trip.

I've got a Otarti MX 5050 I'd be willing to part with for $500. It's in near perfect condition and will come with a splicing block and 4 reals of 1/2" tape. Unfortunetly I don't have the stand or the remote but I am in Saint Louis.

Steve Albini used to like it.

In all seriousness, you might ask around the Scully group.

I took a look at that one , it definitely needs work . It wasnt plug and play ready .
Nice cosmetic condition though .
whoever got it , if you are parting it out , I need some minor transport details :)

that forum is so cluttered and jumbled in comparison to the TOMB.

that being said, i couldn't find any mention of one.

i thought it would be the first 'format' to go in past threads - i'm changing my theory - i think *all* formats will be the first to go if it comes to that.

both ATR and RMGI make 1". They're about $150 shipped per roll (ouch).

Perhaps, it is not exactly what you want, but there is a Tascam MS-16 available in Berwyn, Illinois.

Greg Ashley (from Gris Gris) here in Oakland tracks tons of bands on an MS-16. Works out pretty well!
