WTB: ampex 440b 2 track 1/4" headstack and heads

I have an ampex 440b-4 that I'd like to set up for 1/4" 2 track. Any pointers where to look? I used to be on the ampex list but it was driving me nuts so I cancelled it.

Hey Mike,

I ordered a set from Joe Dundovic at http://www.magneticheadcompany.com

I havn't installed them yet, but he was one source the ampex list guys recommended.
You should probably just sign up again and endure the emails for awhile while incase you need help setting them up.
Stilgar, we've got wormsign the likes of which God has never seen!

Thanks for the reply.

Apparently Joe isn't in the business anymore; the website says he is referring everyone to JRF, who didn't reply to my email and seem kind of pricey anyway. Any other suggestions?

Sometimes John French "misses" an email. I would email him again.
