Did you rebuild the amp by yourself? Were the parts easy to source? Did you use the original PCB? How did the sound change after the rebuild?

Thanks,

Hey, another Pittsburgh TapeOpper! Where are you located?

I've tried in the past to get a Pittsburgh TapeOp night together - any interest if I try again?

Thanks,
I did rebuild the amp myself. You can get most of the parts from www.vintagevibe.com. Everything fits on the original PCB. I forgot to mention it also has a "hiss killer" kit installed which decreases the hiss from the amp significantly. So overall it is a much cleaner sounding machine.

Is the "hiss killer" small caps on the output tansistors?
