FS: vintage Trident TSM console + Studer A-800 + EMT140

I'm testing the waters for interest:

I'm moving my studio cross country, sadly won't have room for my console, and would prefer not to store it unused.

Late 70's Trident TSM: 40 input channels, 24 buss, 24 monitor. 6 aux, two dedicated stereo effects returns. Global recap and professional cleaning in 2007 by Sonic Circus. Global re-chip in 2008. New Acopian PSU. New P&G faders. Full, original patchbay. And the full set of manuals and schematics.

Console needs a little love in the center section, particularly in the talk back. Rough estimate of $500 fix. I can do this, but would rather not. Save some $$ and do it yourself.....

Included in sale is a $12,000 custom DL wiring package by Redco, and custom-built, laser-engraved birdseye maple jack plates (40 inputs worth over 5 panels) -- and all TT cables are also included in sale.

Studer A-800 mk. III with remote, MRL & Aardsync: From Bearsville Studios, it has a multi-platinum provenance. Recapped, cleaned, and working beautifully. Included is the full set of service and operator manuals.

EMT140 plate reverb - transducer and amplifier recapped and cleaned in 2007. Already decomissioned and ready to crate and ship.

Located in Portland, OR and maintained by tech Alan Garren. Decomissioning, crating, and shipping to be arranged by buyer.

Over $60,000 invested in the console alone (including the pro refurbs, the new faders, the new power supply and the cabling package). Would consider selling all of the above as a package for $42,000. Or just the console for $32,000, or $34,000 if I fix the center section first.

Sorry, but I'm not interested in selling the Studer or EMT separately.

Please PM me for more info.

the pres and EQ on the TSM are absolutely sick. I would easily pay a $1,000/channel!! So, I believe this is a steal at this price! I HATE letting this go, and am in no hurry to do so, but if I can avoid moving and storing it...

If you're not familiar, this is a superior forebear of the 80's series, and the direct descendant of the A & B range. It's an IC desk, with transformers on the mic/line inputs and outputs.

The monitor section is way more flexible than the 80 series with quad pan, aux sends, solo/mute, and shelving EQ.

This is a quad desk with the rear channels disabled.. so some mod flexibility there as well.

Lots of way to further mod this desk to suit your style.

Service manuals and schematics are also included.... (I'll add this to the main post)

Aw man, you're really not interested in selling or trading the EMT? Portland's only 10 hours away....

yeah... the EMT is precious to me....

It also came from Bearsville, and before that it was at RCA Nashville. Basically all the greats who came through RCA Nashville in the 60's and 70's used it.

I would very begrudgingly trade it. What do you have?

Just chiming in to say I've briefly seen this Trident in action and it is a thing of beauty. If anyone's in a position to purchase, this is a really nice piece.

New price: $28k takes it. I can possibly even arrange delivery for a small fee. Note, the cabling package alone cost almost half that.

I do not want to stick this in storage, which will be its fate if you do not purchase this console.
