MIJ Ibanez SR645GN 5 String Bass - $250 shipped to lower 48!

Post by kojdogg » Fri Jul 03, 2009 4:32 pm

I recently bought a couple of Ibanez basses only intending to keep one (yeah right). Well with the wifey and I closing on our house in about a month, I have to prioritize my gear needs in the last few weeks where I'll have some disposable funds for gear in any significant amounts. So I'm reluctantly putting this up for sale.

Here are the details about this particular bass (full disclosure-- the description and pics are from the dude I got this from-- he did a swell job, so I'm not reinventing the wheel)...

IBANEZ SR645GN - Sound Gear 5 string Bass in Grey Nickel - Made in Japan in 2001 - Original retail was $849

Ibanez SR5 Neck. Basswood body. Medium Frets. Diecast 5 bridge. Black hardware.

DX5N neck pickup/ DX5B Bridge pickup with EQB2 EQ and active electronics.

Bass plays great and sounds great but shows several nicks and dings. One knob has been replaced. All else is 100% original.

The neck is true and straight and shows light to moderate fret wear.

$240 shipped to the lower 48

To sweeten the deal and hopefully sell this quickly I'm adding a free, banged up Ibanez bass hard case to the deal. The case works well, but it is missing two of the four latches and two feet on the bottom. One of the latches that remains closes fine, but the part you turn is a little looser than the other remaining latch which is solid. I was walking around with the bass in the case yesterday and had no problems with it at all-- it closes securely, I'm trying to give full disclosure.

bump-- I can throw in a set of brand new, unopened Blue Steel strings (usually cost $30 or more) that I just bought as well.
