FS/T Portland.Studio cleanout

Post by pdxstudio » Sat Aug 15, 2009 2:46 am

Just realized this ad was still up. Removed things that have gone, these few remain.

Studio cleanout. Cash preferred, trades considered. I will provide pictures of anything on request. I'm happy to answer any questions or discuss trades/offers. I'm in Portland, OR. I'll consider shipping on smaller stuff, but prefer to deal locally in person.

INSTRUMENTS:
Voce DMI-64 Mk II organ sound module. Single rackspace. Good for gigging or if you need some readily usable B3 sounds in the studio. $75

PROCESSORS
Sabine ADF-4000 PowerQ PA management/
spectrum analyzer tool with laptop. Laptop needs fresh install of win98 or similar to run software which is downloadable on the sabine site. Good for setting up live rooms or studio. $75

VSC Sum and difference meters/monitor selectors. Clients like to see big bouncy backlit meters.$100

TAPE MACHINE:
Otari 1/2" 4 track head $50

MIXERS:

APSI MDL 4000 large format console. Allegedly made by some ex employees of API. Needs some work. Power supply has been recapped. Call for details. $3000.

Soundworkshop 50 channel 34B. BIG pro console. All channels have been recapped but not re-installed. Includes lots of cabling. Make offer

Misc:
Valley People Kepex Gate power supply/ i/o unit. Mounted in anvil case. Has 3 rows of 9 XLR jacks on one side, and open slots for mounting the gates on the other. Condition unknown. $150

Lots of pro 8 channel snakes. Most of them are TT on one end, and misc. on the other (1/4 TS, TRS, XLR, RCA, Elco, plus a few other multipin connectors). Make offer

ADC patchbay. longframe jacks on front. Really heavy, great condition. $100
Random longframe patchbay with lots of cable/ 1/4" connectors. This came from someone else's studio when they decommissioned it. I was going to use it for parts but have reconsidered. $90

Re: the Otari 1/2" 4 track head for $50.

I have an Otari 5050 1/2" 8-track. Would this head be swappable to turn my machine into a 1/2" 4-track?

Thanks,
Jack

8 track>4 track

re: Can the 5050 8 track turn into a 4 track with the 4 track head.

I'm not sure. I'm not super experienced with tape machines, so take this opinon FWIW, but I would guess the answer is no, because the MX 5050 is from a different series than the MTR machines. I'll see if I can pull a part number off it.
