ie: just a pair of preamps as described in ubertar/ RodC's thread:

I pulled out most everything to do with the transport and was going to mod these per RodC's documentation on his site, but ran out of steam. I was able to use them for a couple overdubs as guitar amps. When I last used it a few years ago, it worked fine for this.

I didn't try to run any signal through it, but it appears to power up OK. I did some mods to it, but can't remember what they were. Nothing major, mostly just playing with the mechanical switching to keep the VU meters moving, and putting a female IEC cord for power, IIRC.

It's also got the lid, and the box is in good shape.

Want to sell this locally as it's pretty heavy, but could be persuaded to ship if someone really wants it. Would also be willing to trade for something useful and less physically large.

I have no idea what to ask for it. $50 for local pickup? Trade for a 58-ish mic?

my yahoo addy is muffmck. Drop me a line with "Akai M7" in the subject line if you're interested.

Would also be willing to pull the modules out of the box for shipping if wanted.

Second! If you can't find a local person, I'm second in line for potentially shipping to Portland.

Thanks for all the interest (got a bunch of other emails too, yikes, I had no idea these were so popular!).

It's spoken for for now, but if things fall through, I'll let ya know.
