FS: Auralex Metrofusor Diffusors w/ Auralex foam backing
UPDATE: All 703s are gone. 16 Metrofusors left! Get 'em while you can!
I have:
SOLD 17 Owens Corning Fiberglass panels, 2'x2' x 1" thick. $10 each if ordering more than 6 (which is pretty much necessary to make this worth shipping). They've got maroon or dark blue cloth fronts.
22 16 LEFT Auralex Metrofusors @ $15 ea. These have been upgraded w/ pegboard backing to be hung like pictures (mobile) instead of glued to your wall (or pull it off and glue them). Also, 5 of them have Auralex absorption foam on the back.

I can't find much info on Metrofusers out there. How big are they? They are the things that look like LENRDS but just are flat instead of built for corners, right? I have a crapload of LENRDS in my room right now and I love them. I could be very interested in the Metrofusers as they might be a cheaper alternative to making 703 panels.

leedyguy,
I'm baffled (pun intended) that you found nothing on Metrofusors.

They are DIFFUSORS though, not absorbers. So in a very rough sense they might be a substitute for 703, as in "hey I'd like to use diffusion instead of absorption".
Have you done your research?
If not, browse through these a little. It will save you lots of time and $$ and help you make better sounds.

Considering those diffusors still....
When I sit at the drumset in my studio, the drums just sound too loud so I have been considering doing something to the ceiling over the drumset.

Ken, if your drums are "too loud", diffusers are not what you want. you need absorption. Go buy some mineral wool or fiberglass and make some 2-4" panels on your ceiling. That would do much better in your case....

I'm going to guess around $30. I'd give you a discount (since a tapeopper and buying bulk). It should be $150, I'd do $125... I need to hear back from a possible in-town buyer for the whole lot of them first though.

Thanks for the advice. I have LENRDS in the corners of just about the whole room....there might actually be too many! But anyway, I have some 703 panels too, but making clouds probably is the right way to go. thanks.

leedy:
what all are you doing in the room? playing? tracking? mixing? ... bass traps aren't going to affect perceived loudness much (except if they're fairly large and also absorb highs/mids, which Lenrds aren't that big)... If mixing or mastering in the room, I'd suggest replacing the Lenrds w/ somethings beefier like superchunks... Do you have hard or soft floors? If you're recording, you probably want to do a cloud over the kit (especially if low ceiling) and if your floors are carpet, consider "hardening" them whether that's putting a sheet of plywood under you or buy a sheet of thin masonite (MDF, whatever you call it) and cut it up in 1' squares and scatter them around the floor... I'd also consider reflections at ear level (and cymbal level) on the walls, just don't kill the room too much (after some absorption, then to the diffusion to break up the echoes).
