FS: Rolls RP220 Dual Tube Microphone Preamp (2 available)
These preamps belongs to Ben Keith, pedal steel guitarist for Neil Young, and were used in the recording of the Jewel album "Pieces of You" I'll be listing his equipment for sale this week as I test and clean it.
Rolls RP220 is a dual channel tube preamp and unit has both XLR and 1/4" inputs and phantom power. Here is some additional information from a Sound on Sound review:
"These two Rolls units are extremely simple in concept, but where they differ from most of their rivals is that the audio signal path is entirely valve-based. Most valve mic preamps still use a solid-state input stage, but the MP220 mic preamp (badged under the name of the Rolls subsdiary Bellari) uses a transformer input followed by a two-stage valve (one dual triode) amplifier circuit. An instrument input and line setting allows the preamp to double as a DI box."
$175 each, plus shipping. I'll pay shipping in the continental US if you buy the pair. Located in Nashville.

I can attest that these pres sound as good as any other...amazing actually for the money. very full and robust sounding...put in a higher end tube for even more warmth. I'd score them if I had the room and cash. Someone's gonna' get a great deal on these!
Working on music with Pete from Porno for Pyros...
