Red Microphones Type A (Tube) microphone with R7 capsule

Post by spacelabstudio » Mon Dec 28, 2009 9:59 am

I am selling a Red Type A with R7 capsule. This is a tube mic system which uses standard bayonet style capsules (same as Blue Bottle, other vintage microphones). John B did a nice review of this:

According to this, this is basically the same thing being sold currently as the Blue Bottle Rocket Stage 2:

This includes the flight case, plus power supply, cable and shock mount.

I am asking $1600. I will cover shipping + insurance.

This was around $2000 new when I bought it and currently about $2200 for the Blue Bottle rebranded equivalent.

Thanks,
Chris

I'd be willing to do a downgrade from the tube to the solid state version of the body (or some equivalent) if you wanted to throw in some cash.
