We are selling two (2) large broadband absorbers that we built for our studio but no longer need. The panels are 8' tall by 3' wide, and 4" thick. Inside each trap are 2 layers of Owens Corning 705 rigid fiberglass insulation. The fiberglass panels are mounted on a frame that attaches only to the backside of the panel, allowing the side edges to add to the absorptive surface area. The covering is 'acoustically transparent' fabric from Guilford of Maine-- porous enough for absorption, but still tight enough to keep the fiberglass in (and out of your lungs).
We're pricing the traps at the cost of materials. This means that even if you (or someone you know) doesn't need a trap this size but is looking to build broadband absorbers, these are still an affordable option: buyers are welcome to disassemble them and use the wood, fabric and fiberglass sheets in new panels or however else they see fit. We cut some of the sheets in half when constructing the traps so that the seams between the sheets would not be in the same place on both sides of the finished panel. Inside each trap are four 4'x2'x2" sheets and four 4'x1'x2" sheets.
Panels must be picked up from the studio on W. 27th Street in Manhattan. I can assist with transportation to the curb, and disassembling if the buyer chooses to do so.
We're asking $225 for each trap. Will cut a deal if someone wants to take both.

Bump.
Open to offers- make one.
Open to trades as well. We would of course make up value difference in cash. Some things we are looking for:
- TT patch cables
- Master digital clock (on the level of Isochrone OCX/Big Ben)
- Tech work. We've got some vintage pieces (comps and pres/EQs) that could use a once (or twice) over by a qualified tech.
Cheers, Matt
