Highly customizable analog mixer. If you read the recording forums you're probably already aware of this. Usually you just see people parting them out one channel at a time, but this is for the whole 16-channel board and more.
I got this with the intention of learning how to mod it, etc, but I haven't gotten into that and now I want a new guitar amp. (Picture shows one channel missing because it's sitting in a drawer waiting for me to recap it.) Every channel passes audio. I was using it as a 4-channel mic preamp (with its 4 stock master outputs) and experimented (successfully!) with summing through it. All I've read is true: the EQs sound good, and the preamps overload in a nice way.
Caveats: One master output has some noise I haven't sorted out. There are many crackly pots. Running test tones through each channel showed that some had less low-frequency response than others, suggesting some new caps might be needed.
If you're in the market for this, you're probably up for the DIY challenge, or you want to part it out on ebay (and probably double your money). As long as you can deal with its quirks (as I've done), it's already a fun and functional 4-channel preamp and 16-channel mixer in its current state.
I'll include one channel-worth of uninstalled capacitors and a spare master section fader. There's also a huge road case, if you want it.
$800. Cash only, Chicago pickup only.
